I've put a few new headpieces up on the store today and also restocked a few capes; they're perfect for any festivals you might have coming up.

I've got a couple of weeks off at the moment, but next week I'll be heading to Lovebox and then Secret Garden Party, Port Eliot Festival, Boomtown, Shambala, Arcadia & Avant Garden Festival...! Phew.

You can keep up with all of these on my Instagram and see any new headdresses I've been making.

love saves the day '15

For me and many of my friends, Love Saves the Day in Bristol has become the unofficial launch of festival season every year. The fact that its right on my doorstep and I can return to bed to sleep at night (or not...) means that it is the perfect opportunity to ease myself into a summer of non-stop camping & partying!

I've been involved with Love Saves the Day in some capacity ever since I moved to Bristol; back in 2013 I was on the decor team, the next year I was on the street team doing promotional stuff. This year it was really exciting as I had my own stall within the wonderful Bristol Bazaar market alongside a whole load of other Bristol based designers. As well as my headdresses, we were selling my friend Lucie's wonderful capes and my glitter business partner was with me selling her costume pieces too.

It wasn't only the market that was new this year; the entire festival had outgrown its old site at Castle Park and shifted over to Eastville Park...  In my opinion this made it better than everrrrr! It really ramped up from being another inner city day fest to feeling like an actual proper real festival.

Amongst better stage designs, more chill our areas and a wider array of dinner options my friends Joh & Amy (who I went to Shambala with!) had a gorgeous 'Walk in Wardrobe' set up... or as I liked to call it 'Amy's living room'. They were selling all of Amy's incredible handpicked vintage wares and Joh's accessories from her brand Butchi & Gosmos.

Another of my favourite new areas (somehow I managed to sneak away from the stall a lot!) was the wonderful BUMP roller disco rink... 100% my most favourite and least sensible festival activity.

As well as selling my wares, spending too much money on other people's wares, painting some faces and having a boogie I also did my first proper Festival Style Hunter post for Festival Hunter... expect very silly cider-fuelled interviews and lots of colourful attire!

moodboard & mixtape: footsteps on the dance floor remind me baby of you

Today's moodboard and mixtape is brought to you by some seriously sugary sweet sparkle-tastic disco mermaid inspo...  & in Thankful Thursday tradition here are some things that I am grateful for this week:

Glastonbury. Ya'll know Glasto is my favourite. Unfortunately I've only got about five pictures as I lost my phone on the Friday (It was then returned to me on Sunday!? Extra thankfulness for that! People are excellent!) Luckily Crack Mag has just about all the info that you need to know in their great review here.

Healthy livin. I'm at my gal pal Rhi's country manor at the moment, noshing some really great food and getting made green smoothies in the morning, this is really kickstarting some much needed Glastonbury recovery.

JAM PACKED CALENDARS. This year I rather foolishly stated that I was going to chill out on the festival front... with four down and at least five (potentially seven) left this summer that may have been a hasty statement!

Today's playlist brings you some serious 70's & 80's vibes...! Enjoy. x

Mixtape 007:

01.  'Hello' - Lionel Richie (Lionel smashed it at Glasto... not that I could get anywhere near the pyramid when he was on... I did really enjoy the 'Shrinel Richie' venue in Shangri-La though.)
02. 'Teardrops' - Womack & Womack
03. 'More than a Woman' - Bee Gees
04. 'Sexual Healing' - Marvin Gaye
05. 'Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft' - The Carpenters
06. 'Ain't Nobody' - Rufus & Chaka Khan
07. 'Back to Life' - Soul II Soul
