For me and many of my friends,
Love Saves the Day in Bristol has become the unofficial launch of festival season every year. The fact that its right on my doorstep and I can return to bed to sleep at night (or not...) means that it is the perfect opportunity to ease myself into a summer of non-stop camping & partying!
I've been involved with Love Saves the Day in some capacity ever since I moved to Bristol;
back in 2013 I was on the decor team,
the next year I was on the street team doing promotional stuff. This year it was really exciting as I had my own stall within the wonderful
Bristol Bazaar market alongside a whole load of other Bristol based designers. As well as
my headdresses, we were selling my friend Lucie's
wonderful capes and my glitter business partner was with me selling her
costume pieces too.
It wasn't only the market that was new this year; the entire festival had outgrown its old site at Castle Park and shifted over to Eastville Park... In my opinion this made it better than everrrrr! It really ramped up from being another inner city day fest to feeling like an actual proper real festival.
Amongst better stage designs, more chill our areas and a wider array of dinner options my friends Joh & Amy (who
I went to Shambala with!) had a gorgeous 'Walk in Wardrobe' set up... or as I liked to call it 'Amy's living room'. They were selling all of Amy's incredible handpicked vintage wares and Joh's accessories from her brand
Butchi & Gosmos.
Another of my favourite new areas (somehow I managed to sneak away from the stall a lot!) was the wonderful
BUMP roller disco rink... 100% my most favourite and least sensible festival activity.
