Bristol Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015

Tara, me, Karen, Amie, Kelly

At the end of March I went down to Cribbs Causeway to cover Bristol Fashion Week for Bristol24/7. Somehow it was my first time ever at BFW... It's definitely a rite of passage for bloggers from the South West so don't ask me how I've managed to always miss them!

I spotted some blogger pals I hadn't seen in a long while on the way into the pavilion and it was nice to catch up over some fancy fruit juices at the 'M&S departure lounge' while we queued for our seats. A colourful mishmash of dance and high street fashion, with models of all ages, BFW certainly doesn't have the same pretence as normal fashion weeks... and this season's holiday themed extravaganza was no exception.

It was hosted by the hilarious Mark Heyes and, this year, the ever eye rolling Lucy Watson from Made in Chelsea. Most of the high street looks don't tend to be my thing, but I really love how BFW caters for everybody, from adorable kids jumping about in summer dresses to older ladies looking more elegant than I could ever hope to!
After watching the show and collecting our bursting goodie bags we headed to Marks and Spencer's  where a blogger after party had been put on. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical when someone said it was in their changing rooms (!?) but wow what a lovely space it was! We were treated to a lot of v. nice nibbles (so much cheese.) and champagne as well as fancy hand massages, it was all pretty lovely.

I also took some outfit snaps of some of the ladies at the M&S event for Bristol 24/7. You can read the full article, including their fave trends for the upcoming season, here.
