The other week I was lucky enough to be invited for a meal at the new Byron Burger on the Clifton Triangle in order to review it for WesternEye. This is Byron's first Bristol location but it's already a popular chain across the capital.
As a vegetarian I am aware that I am not exactly the target audience for a burger restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that Byron not only catered for us veggies with an option on their burger menu, but also with a couple of salad options.
I chose the burger, which consisted of a grilled Portobello mushroom, roasted red pepper, goat’s cheese, baby spinach, tomato, red onion and aioli nestled inside a soft bun with a gherkin on the side. The combination was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, even with chips on the side, it definitely wasn’t filling enough and not worth the long wait and £8 price tag. However, I thought the staff were lovely and the rustic, American diner chic feel was charming and sophisticated. I would definitely consider going back to try something else.
Wow this is making me hungry and I've only just eaten! Lovely photography. I'm not vegetarian myself but usually go for the veggie option when I'm eating out, and that sounds lovely if a little pricey!
