Showcasing another creative person in my inspiration series! I have always really loved illustration and been fascinated by it... mainly because I have never had the patience to do it myself. Today I thought I would showcase the beautiful work of young illustrator Harriet Gray. I stumbled across her work while visiting one of my favourite blogs by another illustrator, Ella Masters, who currently has a 'Business Blog' feature on which I found Harriet.
She mainly creates sketches in pencil of people and animals and sometimes the two combined, which are delicate but detailed and delightfully divine!
You can visit her website here, her lovely blog here and her wonderful etsy shop here... as well as selling prints of her illustrations and little bags and purses with her illustrations on, she also sells these temporary tattoos which are beyond cute! I especially love the owl and the pussycat set, below, as it is one of my favourite childhood poems!
The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
'O lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
What a beautiful Pussy you are!'
